The New Trout Fishery in the West Midlands consists of a 2.5 Acre Trout Water which hosts some really big Trout. The trout fishery uses The Gainsborough Lake on the Shatterford Lakes Complex. The Gainsborough was originally the Only Pool on the Shatterford Lakes Fishery. The Gainsborough was originally a trout fishery some 30 years ago, so it has gone back to its original roots. The Trout Fishery has been stocked with some of the best Rainbows, Blue and brown trout in the country bought from Bibury Trout farm in Gloucestershire. These big trout will give you the run around, so prepare wisely. With this lake only stocking minimum weights of 6lb you wont catch a small trout here. The trout run to over 20lb in weight.
